Computerised Library
Our Vidyalaya Library provides the right environment for enriching student’s skill in reading. It treasures 8000 books on Education, Science, Literature, Philosophy and General Knowledge besides possessing important Periodicals, Journals, Magazines and Newspaper.
Well Equiped Laboratories
There are separate Laboratories for Physics, Chemistry & Biology with adequate number of Apparatus, sufficient Chemical, Slides, Microscope, OHP, LCD Projector, Herbarium and Specimen for study. A Maths Lab, Language Lab and Junior Science Lab are also set up.

Computer/Smart Room Facility
Computer Education Programme has been introduced in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas since 1991.Compulsory Computer Education has been introduced for students of Class VI to XII The computer lab is fully air-conditioned. Our computer wing enjoys Broadband Internet and E-mail facility and have access to 24 hours Internet connection.
Medical Facility
Education would be complete only when the child is healthy. Our staff nurse regularly attends to the health problem of the students and Vidyalaya. The Doctor visits the Vidyalaya once in a week for medical check up.

Art/Music/Supw Workshops
Our Vidyalaya provides the right environment for enriching student’s skill in art,music and socially useful and productive works .Special rooms are established to enhance the learning of non-scholastic subjects like Music and Art. Apart form this ART and SUPW workshops are established to give training to the students
Playgrounds and Multigym
There are permanent Football ground with 200X100 Mt. tracks, Volleyball courts, Basketball courts, Kho-Kho, Kabadi and Handball courts enabling the students to develop their skills in the field of sports and games.JNV Kottayam has aided feather to its cap in the form of the Multi Gym. The students are privileged to utilize the benefit of the multi -gym at their door step free of cost.

A well planned electricity and water supply system has been established in the Vidyalya.Vidyalaya is also provided with a vehicle
Dormitories
This is a totally residential school. All students are divided into four houses (Arvali, Neelgiri, Shivalik and Udaigiri house). From class 6th to 8th students leave in Junior house(Arvali Jr., Shivalik Jr., Udaigiri Jr. and Neelgiri Jr.) and 9th - 12th classes leave in Senior houses(Arvali Sr., Shivalik Sr., Udaigiri Sr. and Neelgiri Sr.).
Vidyalaya mess
Pure vegetarian and non vegitarian , hygenic and NutritiousFood (Rice, Dal , Vegetable, Salad, curd, fruits, and snacks etc.) provided to the students. The non vegitarian food includes Chicken,Fish and Egg and Excludes all other items. The staff nurse daily checks the food before serving.
Museum Corner
Museum Corner is with lot of valuable antiques. The corner has replicas of ancient statues and old and contemporary paintings. Our museum corner is rich in coin collection.For creating aesthetics sense among children the Vidyalaya has a beautiful and well decorated Museum Corner in which the students learn and develop their knowledge of our past
Audiovisual Aid
Audio Visual aids are the best teaching media, which develop the interest and curiosity, are being used in our vidyalaya as an innovative teaching process so as to understand and have the compact picture in the minds of the students of the abstract ideas. The smart classroom has been developing in our vidyalaya to have advancement in teaching learning methodology. . Four 29” colour TVs along with Tata Sky cable Connection and internet connection for integrating ICT in Class-room transactions
Staff Quarters
One Principal's residence, 16 Type III quarters ,10 Type II quarters,and 4 Bachelor Quarters in addition to 10 S P Shed Converted quarters for teachers and staffs and two guest rooms.
